Ernest on the first day of Chinese New Year. He woke up early and was so tired on the trip to the grandmother’s place.
Had two nice interesting drinks this week. The first was a very creamy cream soda at Seoul Xpress at Jurong Point. Much nicer than your regular cream soda.
The next was a root beer float with a softee like ice cream instead of your regular ice cream. A slightly different taste, more creamy. They had the ice cold mugs but why must they put ice cubes in them.
Ernest, Esther and I were doing work together outside when we realize that we do not have any paper to write on. But we had our iPads around so we used that instead. Esther likes to use Sketchbook so we used that. Ernest has never used that since he says that he does not like to draw. But after using that to write some words, he decided to do some doodling. And boy did it turned out well as he can see. Not bad at all for a first time.
We had quite a lot of fun with polymer clay last December. Our previous attempt at polymer clay ended in disaster as it got burnt. This time round, we invested in a oven thermometer to check the temperature as it bakes. We were using a small second toaster that we got off Cash Converter for a couple of tens of dollars and the temperature fluctuate likes crazy. The temperature indicator on the oven is certainly not correct. We needed about 110 degrees celsius, so once the oven reaches about 120, we open the door and that cools the oven down. This worked quite well, just that we had to be there looking at the temperature but it is just for 10 mins.
Here are some photos of the clay craft that we did together with a couple of other clay pieces that we had done previously.
