The Okhotsk Sea Ice Museum, located on Mount Tento in Abashiri, Hokkaido, is a fascinating attraction dedicated to the natural phenomenon of drift ice in the Sea of Okhotsk. The museum features interactive exhibits, a spectacular panoramic theatre, and a freezing experience room where visitors can touch real drift ice and experience temperatures as low as −15°C. Visitors can also discover the unique marine life found beneath the ice, including the adorable clione, also known as the “sea angel.” With breathtaking panoramic views of Abashiri and the surrounding landscape from its observation deck, the museum offers an educational and memorable experience of Hokkaido’s winter wonders.

They had specimens encased in ice which was really cool but the room was crazy cold. I could only stay inside it for a short while. So took as many pictures as I can and ran out. Pauline run out almost immediately.
