So the digital lock from Bosch has been acting up. It was very non-responsive, requiring several presses to get the door to open which was quite irritating. Called the seller and they said to change the batteries to Panasonic EVOLTA which were very expensive.
However even after the change, it was not responsive. Given the recommendation to try fresh alkaline batteries and the fact that alkaline batteries tends to reduce their voltage over time, I was guessing whether it could be due to the lowering of the voltage over time that is causing this. This would be on the assumption that the lock is drawing quite a fair bit of current.
So I got some rechargeable lithium-ion batteries from XTAR and after a couple of weeks, the issue with responsiveness is resolved. So perhaps it is the current draw.
