We had quite a lot of fun with polymer clay last December. Our previous attempt at polymer clay ended in disaster as it got burnt. This time round, we invested in a oven thermometer to check the temperature as it bakes. We were using a small second toaster that we got off Cash Converter for a couple of tens of dollars and the temperature fluctuate likes crazy. The temperature indicator on the oven is certainly not correct. We needed about 110 degrees celsius, so once the oven reaches about 120, we open the door and that cools the oven down. This worked quite well, just that we had to be there looking at the temperature but it is just for 10 mins. Here are some photos of the clay craft that we did together with a couple of other clay pieces that we had done previously.
